Disklio is the app’s product name. Further provider details are in the legal notice. The agreements made when obtaining the app and mandatory statutory rights govern its use. These notes do not introduce a separate purchase agreement through this website.
2. Features and requirements
Disklio analyses selected folders locally on Macs running macOS 26 or later, displaying a storage map and file list with search. No separate Disklio account is required. The necessary macOS access permissions are required for folders and drives.
Free use includes basic storage analysis, search and individual file review. A single suitable file can be moved to the Trash after confirmation.
Disklio Pro adds duplicate search with local content comparison, Large Block View, type/size/date filters and saved filters, cleanup views, local history with up to ten scans, review of multiple files or whole folders and CSV export.
The product information provided at purchase and applicable legal requirements determine the specific scope of service. Website screenshots show a development version with sample data.
3. Purchase and licence
After release, the app and optional Pro in-app purchase will be available through the Mac App Store. Pro is intended as a one-time, non-consumable unlock with no subscription or automatic renewal. Apple displays the binding total price before you confirm the purchase; viewing a Pro feature does not trigger payment.
The offer and Apple Media Services Terms identify the transaction partner and payment, invoicing and refund arrangements. The app provider grants the app licence. Unless a different licence is specified in the App Store, Apple’s Standard End User Licence Agreement applies.
Use “Restore Purchases” with the relevant Apple Account to check an existing Pro purchase. Pending purchases unlock Pro after approval. A refund or revocation reported by Apple can remove Pro access. Purchases, restoration and communication with Apple may require internet access.
The one-time purchase unlocks the purchased Pro features without recurring payments. Statutory duties to provide conforming digital products and necessary updates remain. Unlimited compatibility with every future macOS version or free inclusion of all future products is not promised.
4. Handling your files
Select only locations you are authorised to use. Review selections before file actions and keep suitable backups of important data. Disklio is not a backup or data recovery application.
Confirmed selections are moved to the macOS Trash; Disklio does not empty it. Recovery depends on the file still being there. Changes in synchronised folders may propagate to other devices or cloud storage. Removing a folder also affects its contents.
Duplicate search identifies files with matching contents but does not decide which copy other apps, links or workflows need. Before confirmed removal, Disklio rechecks selected files and is designed to retain at least one copy per duplicate group. This does not replace a backup.
Scan results are a snapshot. Inaccessible, protected, online-only or changing objects may be skipped. Displayed sizes are not necessarily recoverable space, for example because of shared blocks, compression or snapshots. Saved scans contain metadata, not earlier file contents.
5. Withdrawal and refunds
Consumers may have statutory withdrawal rights when buying digital content, generally with a 14-day period. Its start and exercise depend on the contract and applicable law. The withdrawal information supplied with the Apple purchase identifies the relevant procedure and contact.
For paid digital content, early expiry of the right requires the legal conditions to be met: performance has started, you expressly agreed beforehand to it starting before the period ends, acknowledged the resulting loss of the right and received the required contract confirmation. Reading this website or opening the app alone does not meet these conditions.
Apple-billed refund requests can be made through Apple’s purchase management. Statutory claims against the responsible contract partner remain unaffected.
6. Statutory rights and updates
Statutory rights for defective digital products apply, including the applicable provisions of sections 327 et seq. of the German Civil Code (BGB). Subject to legal conditions, these may include remedies, price reduction, contract termination or damages.
Necessary updates, including security updates, must be provided for the legally relevant period, with information on availability. Follow installation instructions and information about the consequences of not installing updates. Liability follows statutory law. Technical limits and backup advice do not restrict mandatory consumer rights.
7. Privacy
The privacy policy explains local file processing, storage and deletion, contact requests and Apple services. These notes do not create additional consent under data protection law.
8. Questions and complaints
Contact team@disklio.app with app questions or complaints. Further contact details are in the legal notice. Prior contact is not required to exercise statutory rights.
Changes to this website do not automatically change existing contracts. Mandatory protections of your country of habitual residence and statutory jurisdictions remain unaffected.
